Queen Elizabeth national park is the second largest national park situated in southwestern Uganda neighboring top primate’s national parks like Bwindi forest impenetrable national park and Kibale forest national park.

 

Queen Elizabeth national park is among the best Savannah national parks for wildlife viewing in Uganda where tourists may have an opportunity to see big 4 animals and the most interesting being tree-climbing lions.

 

Queen Elizabeth national park safari takes you to the northern part called Mweya for viewing wildlife, Kazinga channel for a boat cruise, game drives in Kasenyi plains, ishsaha sector for tree-climbing lions as well as a chance to view large herds of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, Uganda kobs and also there is an opportunity for primates lovers where they can see chimpanzees in Kyambura gorge which can be done either in the morning or evening.

 

Queen Elizabeth national park can be reached by Air which takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes, one can fly with a chartered flight being offered by Aero Link Uganda from either Kajjansi or Entebbe international Airport to Mweya Airstrip, Kasese Airstrip or Kihihi Airstrip depending on the choice of the lodge you are going to stay at.
