Kyaninga Lodge is Perched at the edge of the rare twinned volcanic crater lake near Kibale Forest National Park, Kyaninga Lodge features unbeatable, spectacular nature walks right at your doorstep. Kyaninga Lodge is among Uganda’s top luxurious accommodation facilities outside the capital, Kampala. Constructed from wood and grass thatching and facing Lake Kyaninga, which is among Uganda’s deepest crater lakes, Kyaninga Lodge is near Fort Portal town and can be easily accessed.

Kyaninga Lodge has nine log cabins constructed from a thousand hand-carved logs, with all having a private deck facing Kyaninga crater lake and Mount Rwenzori. As part of the conservation work plan to preserve the surrounding ecosystem, Kyaninga Lodge has planted over 10,000 indigenous trees.

Kyaninga Lodge's common areas are comfortable and well designed, which is clearly influenced by traditional Alpine decor that meets African interiors through the use of glossy local woods. Steps are hewn from aged volcanic rock that lead down to the construction of Kyaninga’s swimming pool.

Uganda is best known for mountain gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking. At Kyaninga Lodge, expect a lot of animals, such as vervet and civet cats, bats, red-tailed and colobus monkeys, porcupines, and plenty of birds.
