The whole team themselves supports the "Umuganda" in Musanze with great pride, where everyone participates in the cleaning of the community and regularly visits while donations are made to local schools and guests also buy art pieces from the local tradespeople.

One &Only Gorilla’s Nest is set on the historic chained volcanic mountains of Volcanoes National Park, the first national park in Africa and home to endangered mountain gorillas. This has boosted the spirit of love and protection in the area over the past years, as mostly noted by renowned primatologist Dian Fossey.

One & Only Gorilla's Nest has continental dishes that are crafted in the kitchens locally as part of the eco-conscious cycle. The delicious local coffee made by the chefs is to ensure that any unused ingredients are returned to Musanze.
