Day 1: Kampala to Kibale National Park

You will be met by our safari guide who will brief you about this safari. Transfer to Fort Portal driving through Mityana and Mubende towns. You will stopover in the town of Mubende to check out the Nakayima tree.

Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way and drive on to Kibale forest national park where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Visit the neighboring Crater Lake or opt to rest at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest

Early in the morning, you will set off for chimpanzee tracking. You will be led by a forest guide who will help you identify the various tree species, as well as inform you of the various features in the forest. In the afternoon after your lunch, you will go for a nature walk in the swamp to see primates plus swamp birds, in addition to a number of community Based projects that are funded by tourism. Dine and slumber at Crater Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park situated at the bottom of Mountain Rwenzori which is among the finest mountain ranges in the world. On your way to the park you might see a number of wild animals plus birds since this park hosts approximately 100 species of mammals and an outstanding 606 species of birds.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tour in the Kalinzu Forest Reserve

Early in the morning drive to Kalinzu Forest Reserve where you will track the elusive chimpanzees. Seeing thesechimpanzees is guaranteed and the walk is very rewarding with sights of various forest features. After lunch go for a launch cruise down the Kazinga Channel. This channel has numerous hippos and solitary buffaloes in addition to a diversity of birds. Have an evening game drive inside the park.

Day 5: Wildlife Tour in the Ishasha Sector

Begin early for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, driving through the Ishasha, renowned for its resident population of tree climbing lions. After your lunch, you will have a nature walk or visit the neighboring local community.

Dine and slumber at Gorilla Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking Tour in Bwindi Gorilla Forest

Following an early breakfast, move into the forest and start trekking the mountain gorillas. Coming face to face with the largest primates is a memorable adventurous experience that can never be forgotten.

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi involves trekking up steep muddy and densely forested slopes so it may require some level of fitness. Right after your lunch you will have a leisurely nature or visit the neighboring community if time allows. Dine and slumber at Gorilla Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Return to Kampala

Following your breakfast you will drive back to Kampala with lunch along the way; passing through rolling hills and terraced landscapes of western Uganda.

A brief stopover at the Equator will provide you with an opportunity of photography and informative talks. You will also stop at drum and craft makers and later transfer to the airport for your outbound flight or reserve accommodation in Kampala for overnight.
