Lake Bunyoni overland resort is just on Lake Bunyonyi shores, offering travelers a base accommodation facility to explore Lake Bunyonyi or a wonderful stop-over to rest before mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park or Mgahinga National Park in south-western Uganda.

Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort is an eco-friendly accommodation built with the use of local materials collected from within Lake Bunyonyi local communities, which provides an important employment opportunity for the locals around there.

Lake Bunyonyi is a bilharzia-free body of water with no crocodiles or hippos. Bunyonyi derives its name from the Rukiga local language of southwestern Uganda, which means "a place of small birds,"  and indeed it deserves that name.

Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort provides self-contained and non-self-contained accommodations such as comfortable safari tents, family cottages, rooms, cottages, and self-camping options for those with camping equipment, as well as rent mobile tents with or without bedding arrangements in their pleasant gardens.

The Lake Bunyonyi overland resort has 10 safari tents that are mounted on the raised platforms; each of the safari tents has a private terrace with endless views of Lake Bunyonyi. All these tents are fully furnished with twin beds, two director chairs, a hammock, electric lighting, and a writing table for travelers' comfort. Safari tents use our shared bathrooms and toilet facilities
