Buhoma Community Rest Camp situated before Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park entrance, offering an outdoor enthusiast taste of a safari-style in an excellent base camp for mountain gorilla tracking, observing endemic bird species which inhabit this region.

Buhoma Community Rest Camp revenue earned is transferred to the Buhoma Mukono Community Development Association (BMCDA) and is then used to promote local community projects such as Buhoma Community Primary School, Buhoma Gravity Water Scheme, Buhoma Community High School, and the pineapple and vegetable growing project, among others.

Buhoma Community Rest Camp has the most spectacular views of Uganda’s top tropical rainforest from its terraces. When you begin your gorilla trekking expedition, mountain gorillas frequently visit the camp. Buhoma Community Rest Camp has eight beautifully furnished rooms, two well-designed twin or double cottages, and one family cottage, all of which are self-contained and crafted with elegance through the use of local materials.
